The Kentuckiana Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) is dedicated to supporting technical communicators in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. With 153 chapters and more than 25,000 individual members worldwide, STC is the largest professional society devoted to technical communication. STC's primary focus is the education, improvement, and advancement of its members.

STC Health Insurance

STC now offers its members a range of health insurance options thanks to a program recently implemented in cooperation with Marsh Affinity Group Services, a leader in insurance program management.

Health insurance options available to individuals and small employers include the Major Medical Plan (Traditional), Preferred Provider Option (PPO), Medical Savings Account (MSA), and Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) options. STC Salary Database

STC's annual salary database is based on the latest information from the US Department of Labor's Bureau of Statistics survey of technical writers among 1.25 million US business establishments in all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam. Data are provided for technical writers in 84 industries, all 11 combined statistical areas and 159 metropolitan areas, and 12 non-metropolitan areas. Only STC members can access the database.
